It
is ubicated in the center of the ecuadorian Amazonas Rainforest.
Puyo has natural enchantings that wonder natives and foreigns.
The habitants are dedicated to fish and to find gold.
The land is dense and people circulate only in little
wood botes many times they have an adventure trip.
In this land lives natives communities as they are: the
shuars, huaoranis, alamas, and two communities in extinction
danger: zaparos and shimigaes.
From Puyo long walks in the thickness can be done and
to play with vejucos, cross through suspension bridges
and tarabitas, and to smell the tipical arom of the dense
vegetation.
Also of being the capital, Puyo constitutes the access
door to the forest, its name come of the word quichua
"puyo" that means fog.
Known as the heart of amazonia is a progress center of
commerce of local products: cane of azucar, naranjilla,
tea, coffe, yucca, etc and a privileged place of rest
to feel the forest and to enter in its ways without any
risk.
